Children's Trust Acquired Brain Injury Specialist
We are very lucky to have Lauren Macready, a therapy specialist in chidren's acquired brain injury working with us at Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust.
Lauren provides early rehabilitation advice and information to children, young people (0-18) and families affected by acquired brain injury. She works with local statutory services within the region to help meet the child's educational, social and emotional needs. Transitional follow up will also be provided given the dynamic nature of acquired brain injury in children.
Lauren can offer advice to clinicians in relation to children with TBI within the West Yorkshire Major Trauma Network area. She can be contacted by email: lauren.macready@nhs.net
Guidance on the acute management of injuries should follow the usual pathways.
The permanent post is funded by The Children's Trust, a national charity in childhood brain injury.
